Step 7 – Set High Standards for the Way you Treat Others and Yourself
7. Set high standards for the way you treat others and yourself. Then live by those high standards. Do more, give more, live more and be more. As your standards and values become evident to others, you gain respect and trust.
One of the most important standards to set for yourself is the standard of integrity. Be your word, keep your promises, tell the truth and you will be amazed at how differently people respond to you. All relationships are built on trust. As people begin to trust you, they will refer to you and talk positively about you, but most importantly they will want to model themselves after the great values you exude.
Do things that make you feel strong and confident and carefully select to learn and strengthen things that make you feel insecure and weak. Make all of your decisions based on your dreams and the road map they create for you. Your dreams will tell you where you need to go, what you need to learn and what the next step in your journey should be.
