Frequently Asked and Answered Questions about The Heart Link Network, Women networking event.
  • What happens at a Heart Link Women’s Networking event?
  • The Heart Link Women’s Networking meeting begins with a light meal and socializing. After the meal, the professional networking begins. Participants get 3 minutes to showcase themselves and their businesses, and distribute literature. After the formal networking many women make appointments to get together to talk business, and share more deeply.

  • Should I attend alone or with a friend?
  • Come linked. Bring your appetite, enthusiasm, business cards, brochures or marketing materials, but most of all, bring a friend. You are going to have the time of your life meeting extraordinary women. You are going to want to share this great experience with someone.

  • How do I make a reservation?
  • You can email, call or simply pop a check in the mail to me, your Heart Link Women Networking Area Coordinator (with your business card if you want, or just a note introducing yourself and what line of business you represent). Please remember, most events are industry exclusive, which means only one person may represent each industry, so space fills up quickly! Your payment IS your reservation.

  • Is there a high upfront membership fee for me to be able to attend Heart Link Women Networking events?
  • No. It only costs $20 to attend, with NO upfront membership requirements, and if you bring a new guest each time, it only costs each of you $15. Each Heart Link Women’s Networking Area Coordinator gives so much when she accepts to lead in your community. For your $20 fee, you receive a valuable and unique opportunity to showcase your business in an intimate and comfortable setting for a full 3 minutes where women actually care and listen.

  • What is the appropriate attire for the event and what type of food do you serve?
  • Many women come to the event from work so attire varies from business casual to comfortable. You will have your own bottle of water; a light meal is served - oftentimes a salad with everything on the side, and dessert.

  • Monthly Community Appreciation -
  • Each month The Heart Link Women’s Network chooses women of various professions and groups to appreciate from the community. For example: Teachers, Nurses, New Moms, Non-Profit employees, Administrative Assistants, Dental professionals, etc. Be sure to check this page each month to see who is being honored and "come linked" with one of these amazing women so they can be loved and appreciated for all they do in the community.

  • My name:
  • Debe Bloom
  • My Occupation:
  • Professional Certified Coach--specializing in Loss and Hope. And a very excited Heart Link Network Area Coordinator who is looking forward to helping women build their businesses!!

    Debe Bloom-Remove Your Invisible Fence

  • My Background: (education and business)
  • I completed my coaching certification at the top of my class and knew that moving into this profession, after 35 years of being in the insurance industry, was absolutely the right move for me. Focusing on helping people thru *loss* (be it a job, a home, a relationship, a pet or a loved one) and letting them see that there is *hope* on the other side, hearing their feedback after our sessions, it's simply an amazing journey!
  • Most inspiring quote:
  • "If not now, when?" This simple, yet powerful quote came into my focus when I was in high school. Whenever I have a challenge, these words give me the encouragement to move forward.
  • My secret for success:
  • Smile...with heart. I love having people surround me; I love being able to help others. I believe that there is a reason for everything and it's totally up to us to use each day as a lesson and look for the positive side.
My bio:
I reside with my husband of ten years, Rick, and our 6 yr old Pekingese, Julee. This is both Rick’s and my second marriage and we each bring a daughter and a son to our life together. We also have 2 granddaughters that live in Oxnard, which is the reason why we moved back from San Francisco after living there for 8 years. Since 2001, I have been offering grief support to others in a finite group, as a result of my losing my twin sister. Life Coaching was presented to me several years ago as a career opportunity and as I did my research on it, I realized that coaching was very similar to the support I was already doing, only with a very positive ‘spin’. Since I was finding so much satisfaction in the support I was offering, I decided to go to school and become a certified professional coach and continue focusing on helping others through all of life’s challenges & struggles. The world is full of so many adventures for each of us, some exciting and powerful and some that can give us anxiety. Looking down my 5-year road, I am anxious to be available to others who are looking for a team mate to help build their own personal & business success.
